I am returning to work after 2 year disability leave. Short term, then long term within that period. My doctor completed a gradual return to work plan. My employer and insurance company created their own plan that entails a faster return to work than my doctor had ordered. I am being forced to follow this plan and have been refused an explanation as to why my employer will not accommodate my plan as written by my doctor. I was then given a schedule to return with 1 days notice, of which is non negotiable. My employer refuses to engage in any collaboration with me in my gradual return to work. Is this process legal?

I'm going to email you directly about this. You may need to speak to one of our employment lawyers about a potential failure to accommodate case against your employer. You may also need to speak to one of our LTD lawyers, if your return to work fails. (Update: Your email didn't work/bounced-back. Please try emailing us directly.)
