Add Comment Question: I am returning to work after 2 year disability leave. Short term, then long term within that period. My doctor completed a gradual return to work plan. My employer and insurance company created their own plan that entails a faster return to work than my doctor had ordered. I am being forced to follow this plan and have been refused an explanation as to why my employer will not accommodate my plan as written by my doctor. I was then given a schedule to return with 1 days notice, of which is non negotiable. My employer refuses to engage in any collaboration with me in my gradual return to work. Is this process legal? Answer: I'm going to email you directly about this. You may need to speak to one of our employment lawyers about a potential failure to accommodate case against your employer. You may also need to speak to one of our LTD lawyers, if your return to work fails. (Update: Your email didn't work/bounced-back. Please try emailing us directly.)
