I have return from LTD in Jan 2025 however I was sick in March and I was asked from my employer if it was related to my LTD and I was told that I need to have a form completed and send to my insurance to get paid but I was not on LTD anymore I was back to FT work. Is this something they can do at work?

Some LTD policies have "recurrent disability" terms that permit a claimant to resume their previous LTD claim without having to reapply or wait through the qualifying period again, if they become totally disabled again (after having returned to work) within a certain period of time (usually 3, 6 or 12 months). That may be what they were referring to.

For questions related to whether your employer should have to pay you during that period instead, I recommend using our free employment questions website (www.terminationquestions.com) as a starting point.
