Hi there here's my question it's quite complicated and I'm really frustrated I belong to a union I'm on long-term disability approaching the sixth year my long-term disability insurance representative has called me and inform me that he want to find me another job I find this quite odd and devastating that they're going to cut me off my doctor has explain to them I'm not able to do any job or any work as I am completely disabled I called my union it took them three weeks to call me back I must have left them six messages, indicating it's urgent they told me I would have to hire my own lawyer I had to ask them twice when I called them back they said the same thing I would have to hire my own lawyer if they were to cut me off I asked the Union to put it in writing and they did my specialist doctor as written to the insurance company explaining to them that I am totally disabled my question is why is this happening and when do I start looking for a lawyer when my union has told me to find my own lawyer I'm completely disabled I am in a wheelchair I'm very depressed my life has changed becoming disabled and now I can't afford what they're doing to me any information would be helpful thank you.

I'm sorry to hear this is happening.
In some cases, we are able to represent you for LTD disputes despite the fact that you’re in a union. It would depend on the wording of your Collective Agreement. Please give us a call at the number below so we can gather more information and let you know any next steps.
