Do I have the right to get a copy of health information (like reports/assessment they've completed, health info they have shared with 3rd parties) from my LTD claim file sent directly to me? I was told reports are company property, however they are willing to send it to my family physician. What about just requesting the whole claim file?
It's not unusual for insurers to share those sort of medical reports with your GP directly, who can then share them with you. If you wish otherwise, however, you can request a full claims file from the insurer.
