I have been cleared to work after LTD, by my doctor and my LTD has been cut off. My employer is refusing to let me return on the specified date. They withheld telling me about and giving me forms to be filled out by my doctor until the day before my return. As I wait for my first available appointment I am without income. Are they within their rights in doing so?

Employers are often entitled to receive a medical note before accepting your return to work, to determine any restrictions or limitations. While their timing is unfortunate, they're likely still falling within their rights to do so.
