I have been on LTD for almost six years. If I move to the UK, will Manulife cut me off from disability payments? Also if I sell my primary residence here in Canada, will the insurance company try and claim monies from my house sale? Thank you!

Generally, your LTD policy will state if you are entitled to benefits if you're outside of the country. Most policies do limit benefits if you're outside Canada for certain periods of time, but each policy is different. Additionally, your LTD policy will also state what types of income your insurer is allowed to take credit for as well.
I recommend reviewing a copy of your policy (if you don't have one, you can ask your case manager for a copy of it). If you still have questions, please reach out to our disability specialist, Rebecca, at rebecca.stap@stlawyers.ca, and she can assist further
