I have been on LTD for a year and have been cut off by insurance as of April 1 so I am returning to my previous employer. They have filled my position and offered a demotion at a reduced rate in pay. Can they do this? What do I do now?

Thanks for writing. You’ve actually connected to our LTD department, as opposed to our employment team.

I recommend using our free employment questions website (www.terminationquestions.com) as a starting point.

If you still have further questions, and you’re non-unionized, please let me know and I will connect you with our intake team to assess further. If you are unionized, you will need to speak with your union representatives.

If you try to go back on LTD, and are denied, please let us know.
