HI I am writing on behalf of my mother. She is currently on LTD who is determined to have her return to work tough her Doctor has put her off indefinately. She worked as a Janitor at a University for 20 years until 2021 when she was disagnosed with a lung condition Moderate Pulmonary Hypertension and could no longer meet the demands of her job. She has been on LTD Since NOvember 2021 and was told by them that her LTD benefits would be cut off in NOv. 2023
Last month they LTD calld her stating that they were referring her to a Resolution Specialist. The Resolution Specialist emailed her to set up a time to meeet so they could review her treatment, identify any restrictions and limitations which impact her ability to work, review medications and upcoming appointments with treatment providers. Should she meet with the RS? Will this continuous tretment (harassment) normal and will it continue from LTD( which is stressful on a person with her condition)? The HR Department told her not to apply for Canada Pension Disability Benefits until she received a package to do so. Is that correct or should she be applying for her Canada Pension Disability? Please advise. Thank you in advance.
I'm going to email you about this directly.
