I tried to go back to work on modified duties 3 months before LTD 2 year period because I panicked not knowing how to support myself financially after being cut off at 2 yrs. I ended up off work needing emergency spinal surgery after 3 months. My claim was extended 6 months which ends in 1.5 months. I'm still not able to do the job I'm educated and experienced in. I have no other experience and not able to do schooling/retraining as my mental and physical health are now affected. What will happen in December when I get cut from LTD because my 2 years plus extension are up? Also my surgery was for a different issue than I was initially off for (mental health) so I am now suffering from mental and permanent physical health issues. Do I have any rights? Please help! I am running out of time.

If you remain disabled, as defined in your LTD policy, then your benefit payments should continue. It sounds like they may be cutting you off prematurely. I'm going to email you directly about this.
