I currently work for CNR and I’ve been off on short term disability moving over now to long term disability. I just received a letter stating that my health benefits will end on July 16 2025. Which means no dental or drugs coverage meanwhile I need these services even more with being ill.please advise can they do this? I’ve worked for them for 18 years and in oct I will be 61.

If you're still approved for LTD, and your question is exclusively about your employer having cut-off some (or all) of your other group benefits, that would actually be an employment question, rather than an LTD question (and this is the LTD branch of the firm), so I would recommend that you instead contact our employment team at: www.terminationquestions.com.

In the meantime, you can look into applying for the Trillium Drug Program at: https://www.ontario.ca/page/get-help-high-prescription-drug-costs.

If you're ever cut-off LTD in the future (hopefully not), please let us know.
