My wife suffered a severe brain bleed and has been on LTD since April 2023. Now she turns 65 in June and will been taken off benefits. We have applied for CPP disability that goes to the insurance company but who
Pays the taxes on that benefit. She has lost problem solving skills and is blind on the left side of both eyes.

She should look into applying for the Disability Tax Credit, at: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/individuals/segments/tax-credits-deductions-persons-disabilities/disability-tax-credit.html. If approved, this should alleviate, if not completely offset the taxed CPPD portion.
