I had a slip and fall fractured my kneecap. I had surgery same day. Recently my doctor requests another surgery. My sick benefits with EI will be finished soon. I had to discontinue my benefits at work because it’s over $300 I couldn’t afford. Can I still get long term disability through Manulife now? Or do I have to return to work to reinstate my benefits?
I'm sorry to hear this. If you had coverage in place at the time of your injury, you should still be able to apply.
