I am an RN and have been on Manulife LTD for 2 and a half years, it is approved as a permanent disability. Insurance company has not asked for anything further from my MD since initial approval. As I said, I am an nurse. With College of Nurses, after 3 years not actively working in nursing, you cannot renew your license to practice- so I am no longer licensed to practice..
My question is - Because I am no longer eligible to work as an RN, can employer fire me and insurance company cut off my LTD? I have heard nothing from either employer or Manulife Insurance and do not want to ask or I will put myself on their radar. I am 59 years old

I'm going to email you about this directly.
