If I provide my workplace ltd insurance provider with medical records that state I will not be capable of ever returning to work - including Other Than Own Occupation work - can I be “dropped” from Ltd. Can my employer fire me? Thank you,

Generally, such note would help your claim with the insurance company, and not be a reason for denying further benefits. If the insurer does try to end your benefits for any reason though, let us know ASAP and we will help.

As for the employment matter, your employer may be able to terminate you at any time, but you may be owed severance and/or human rights awards. I recommend giving our employment team a call to discuss further at 1-855-821-5900
