I am off work for Complex Developmental PTSD and an Anxiety disorder. My insurance company will be cutting me off LTD in a few weeks as we reach the change of definition line. I am happy to go back, I am almost at the end of my treatments and am feeling much stronger.
They want me to do a graduated return to work but I really don't see how that could work. I really would prefer to just give a return date and go back at 100% instead of being perceived as broken and hobbling. My doctor is prepared to support me.
I have been pretty adamant about this in calls with my insurer, but they keep pushing the gradual return to work.

What are my rights/options here?

You could consider speaking to your employer about this directly (once you're actually ready to return of course). Ultimately, if you, your doctor, and your employer are all okay with it, there wouldn't really be anything the insurer could do to stop it.

If you're cut-off LTD for any reason, or if you go back off work and you're new claim is denied, let us know right away and we'll connect you with a lawyer for a free consult.
