I am a nurse and have been on LTD for 4 years and few months. I was approved CPPD last year. With College of Nurses my license will turn inactive in few weeks due to inactivity. As I won't be able to work as an LPN without a license, despite insurance approved the "any occupation disability", can my employer fire me? or can my LTD get affected? Unsure if I should ask.

Thanks for writing.

Your LTD should not be impacted by the loss of your license in this context.

For your employment-related questions, I recommend using our free employment questions website (www.terminationquestions.com) as a starting point.

If you still have further questions, and you’re non-unionized, please let me know and I'll connect you with our intake team to assess further. If you are unionized, you'll need to speak with your union representatives.
