I have a mortgage insurance policy. Initially, I thought it was just life insurance but recently discovered it was life and disability. I became disabled because of a stage 4 cancer diagnosis 20 months ago. The policy states that I have to submit a claim within 90 days of my diagnosis. Am I out of luck on putting in a claim for this? What does it matter to the insurance company if I put in the claim 30 days in or 180 days in?

I'm going to email you about this directly.
