I have major lung illness caused by work, pseudomonas, Micro bacterium tuberculosis and bronchitis. From breathing in large amounts of somke and chemicals from work. My question is if I go on long turn disability’s am I able to sue for lung damage do to complete negligence at work ?

Applying for Long-Term Disability (LTD) benefits with an insurance company should not impact your ability to bring a legal action in negligence for your injuries and losses. If your application is denied, please contact us right away for a free consultation.

All of that said, if you have access to WSIB and/or apply for WSIB, that may have an impact on your ability to bring such action for negligence. Before you apply for WSIB, you may want to speak to a WSIB and/or personal injury lawyer, so that you can understand your options better. While we do not practice WSIB law here, we do practice personal injury law.
