I am currently on long term disability and I am getting paid incorrectly because my place of work will not tell them how much I was making before I went off. I was a special position that no longer exists and was given a weekly guarantee for income. My employer has stopped responding to my inquires to get things fixed is there anything I can do? Also my insurance provider is now asking me to do a return to work program yet has not given them any of my medical records or restrictions that I have from a doctor.

I'm sorry to hear this is happening. If you are unionized, you should speak with your union representative ASAP to get their assistance on this matter. If you are non-unionized, we may be able to help with this. Additionally, your insurer should not be forcing you back to work against medical recommendations. I suggest that you speak with our Disability Specialist, Rebecca, so we can gather more information about this to see how we can help. You can reach her at rebecca.stap@stlawyers.ca or 1-844-661-9065 x132.
