My long term disability benefit will be terminated in December 2024 which is when I turn 65, but wonder if I’m able to return to work what is my employer’s responsibility? I wouldn’t have the ability to return to the same position I had before my leave.

Generally, your employer has a duty to return to you a same or similar position after a medical leave. If your restrictions or limitations don't fit in that role, then they would have the duty to accommodate you into another role. If they refuse to do so, you may have an employment claim against them. Please contact our employment lawyers at 1-855-821-5900 for more information.
