I was on Long Term for anxiety and went back to work for 4 months and had to take medical leave again as i suddenly experienced a bad onset of epilepsy. I was then on long term and went back to work for 3 months and now back on medical leave. My doctor currently says I have anxiety but is doing further checks as he suspects I might be suffering from PTSD. My insurance has denied me short term and is saying they are investigating to see if I qualify for long term. I am so confused and financially strapped. If my doctor says I am suffering from PTSD will i be able to appeal for STD instead of LTD? Also, the insurance informed me that I have to be reassessed for long term - what does that mean?

I'm going to email you about this directly.
