What is the likelyhood that an LTD claimant will have surveillance during an appeal? Is it rare or common or sometimes? I know surveillance can happen at any time but is it usually reserved for when a claimant is getting paid?

We unfortunately can't comment for certain on the likelihood as we don't always know if the insurer is doing so, but if they are reviewing your case during an appeal, then they are likely within their rights to conduct surveillance while the appeal is ongoing.
