Ask your question and a Long-term Disability Lawyer in Canada will answer in minutes
I have been on LTD since Jan 2019. My insurance company asked me to apply for CPP disability, which i did. I was denied and appealed and denied again. This was 2. plus years ago. I am going to apply for CPP disability again as my condition has not improved. I am approved for LTD til 65 with Canada Life. If I get legal help in my next attempt to be approved for CPP disability and win, how does your firm collect the fee? Wouldn’t any CPP money need to go directly to Canada Life? Thanks
Thank you for your question. Generally, the insurer is entitled to any income you receive from CPP Disability while also on LTD. If we are successful in your matter, you then may be required to pay our fees directly at the conclusion of your matter. At this point, I recommend contacting our firm directly for a free consultation to discuss what options are open to you in more detail. Our contact number is below.
