I initially went off on a STD sept 2021. Returned to work in Feb 2022. End of April i started a new job (same company) and higher salary. Then May 28th 2022 had to go into hospital. I was then on STD until it switched to LTD. I returned to work May 2023. Now insurance company said they overpaid me and i need to pay them within 3 weeks. I then looked into it to see where they were getting the figure and came to realize they were paying my LTD claim based on my salary from my previous position not the one i was in when i went off. Is this accurate? I was also pushed into going back to work before i felt ready due to a change in definition date. My previous benefit policy was 12 months before a change in definition was required. But in our new benefits policy as of 2023 it is 24 months before change of definition. Is there anything that can be done about any of this ??

I'm going to email you about this directly.
