Health practitioner put me on medical leave with undetermined return date in June. I gave the note to the employer.
Nothing has changed, last visit to the practitioner confirmed that I would remain off until I was cleared to return.
Employer is asking for prognosis with an estimated return date, I informed them that I'd give them one when the doctor tells me so.
Employer says they are entitled to "better and further" medical info., wants to give me a full medical certificate to take to doctor to fill. Has given me 2 days (due to weekend & holiday).
Is this legal? They have the doctor's note and nothing has changed.
This is UNPAID leave at Federally regulated employer.

Thank you for your question. If there are additional questions that you employer wants answered, they are entitled to get those answers if your doctor can provide them. What they cannot do is ask about the nature of your condition. (what the issue is, what medication you are taking, etc). They are required to give you a reasonable amount of time to get answers.
