I am on a GRTW plan that was set up by my LTD Insurer and has been approved by my treating physician

My employer refuses to approve the Plan and will not allow me to increase my working hours as set out in the plan until I have completed an independent medical assessment that confirms that I should be able to increase my hours

My LTD insurer is not requesting that I attend an IME

Can my employer force me to attend an IME?
What happens to me if I refuse to take the IME?

This very frustrating for me

Your employer does have a "duty to accommodate", but how that duty applies to your specific situation would be better addressed by our employment team (as opposed to this, our LTD/disability team), who you can contact at: www.terminationquestions.com.

That said, if your employer refuses to allow you to get back to full-time hours, or if your attempt to return to full-time hours fails, and your LTD insurer refuses to reinstate your LTD benefits, please contact us again and we will connect you with an LTD lawyer for a free consultation right away.
