I'm on LTD with my company since January 23, 2022. I received a letter in the mail dated July 15, 2025. The letter is asking a written response confirming whether: I expect to return to work in the foreseeable future; and if so is there a estimated time of return. They have given me a deadline of July 31, 2025 to respond. I have Stage 5 kidney disease and am on dialysis and the condition is deteriorating. I will not be returning indefinitely. Can my company ask these questions and if so should I respond without seeking legal advise.

They may be allowed to ask this but I would suggest giving our team a call to discuss your options. Alternatively, you can attend one of our free live streams, and speak directly with a lawyer in real time - the next one is tomorrow and you can find details here: https://stlawyers.ca/live-stream-events/
