I am asking on behalf of a friend's situation (and yes, this really is for a friend). He was a long time employee and was recently told due to frustration of contract he's been let go and they paid him severance. He's been on LTD for more than 2yrs. On a recent TV show of yours Tamar stated that it's illegal to be let go while on LTD and is a human rights violation. This friend has already recently spoken with one of your team members via phone and was told there's nothing they can do. Is this because maybe the team member was incorrect? Could this be because his LTD insurer notified the employer that he's never coming back and permanently disabled? Something doesn't seem right according to the information your firm provides on TV and on your website.
We try to provide as much general information on our TV show as possible, however situations can vary case by case. The information on our show does not replace a dedicated legal consultation with someone on our team that is knowledgeable about specific facts of the matter. Consultation advice is reliable as it takes into account all of the facts of your friends matter, versus general information.
