Why does LTD take your backpack from CPPD and are they allowed to?

Under most modern LTD policies, the insurer is entitled to an offset for what you receive from CPPD, if they're both being paid for the same period/month.

That said, you could ask your case-manager for a copy of your policy, or a copy of the term he's relying on in claiming the offset/clawback to confirm if this term does in fact exist in your specific policy.
