I am currently on LTD . I am age 54. I am eligible for my Companies Defined Beneift Pension Aug 1st , 2025. I am still awaiting drs appointments. Manulife for LTD has sent me papers to apply for Canadian Disability Pension. I am at the point of making a few decisions .I have reached my maximum years of service with my company over 35 years of service & age requirements. If i should decide to terminate my membership (leave the company, resign) take my company pension and transfer to a LIRA ( I would advise LTD and Company Pension services.) Do I have to apply for Canadian Disability Pension ?
