Hi. I’ve been advised by one of your lawyers to pose my question here. I was on short term disability receiving my full salary, but they are switching me over to long term disability and now it will be 50% of my salary according to sun life. Wanted to double my rights on this, if I’m capable to get more.

Great question. You will need to check your LTD policy to determine what your insurer must pay. They have the obligation to follow the amount that is listed in your policy. Beyond that, unfortunately there's generally nothing that can be done to increase that amount past the policy provision.
