Hi I am currently 60 years old and I am on LTD. I have 1 year left befoe change of definition,.
I was an employee for 6 years before the tearing my rotator cuff mow my insurance would like to pay me put of my claim, they are suggesting paying me out 1/2 the value of the remaining 5 years to age 65.
Is there a rule of thumb for insurance pay outs or are they all specific and individual.
Also did the government change retirement age from 65 to 67.
Thank you

There generally is not a rule of thumb regarding the amount of money you may receive by an insurance company payout.
We unfortunately don't specialize in government benefits so that's not something that I can answer for you.
