I'm on LTD for 3 years. My Employer is changing their insurance plan. Still the same company. I have had a waiver of premium since the beginning of my claim 3 years ago. I also have CCP Disability. The new plan my employer is starting wants me to pay premiums on dental, health , part of plan. Do I have to start paying premiums again?

Your LTD rights typically crystalize as at your "date of disability" (which is the date at which you passed the total disability test, and is usually, although not always, the date at which you stopped working), assuming that your disability has since been unbroken and you have not returned to work periodically. In other words, whatever your LTD rights were when you went off are typically the rights you would still have today, if you've been off work the whole time. That said, this does sometimes depend on your specifically policy. Further, the waiver of premiums you are referring to may be unrelated to your LTD rights, or it may be a right that you had in your employment contract (as opposed to the policy itself). For us to complete this analysis, you will need to figure-out exactly what changed from now to then that has triggered this. If you can provide us with that additional information, we can perhaps give a more robust reply.
