I am currently on LTD and soon to do the 2 year assessment to see if I can complete any job as oppose to just my job at the company. What happens if I become pregnant in that time? Can I be fired or terminated at any point?

Regarding whether you can be fired from your job, I recommend using our free employment questions website (www.terminationquestions.com) as a starting point instead.

Regarding whether your pregnancy can impact your LTD claim - it depends on the terms of your specific policy. Generally speaking, most policies will stipulate that being pregnant is not, itself, a disability for the purposes of collecting LTD. That said, if you were already disabled and on LTD before becoming pregnant, such terms should not disturb your existing claim. But again, I would need to see your specific policy to be sure.

If you are cut-off LTD for any reason, let us know and we will connect you with a lawyer for a free consultation right away.
