Add Comment Question: I had been receiving federal sickness benefits and then was just recently approved for CPP disability but have not yet qualified for my employer's LTD benefit due to the extended waiting period (189 days). I assume but looking to confirm that I must discontinue my federal sickness benefit once I qualify for the CPP disability benefit. Answer: We unfortunately don't deal with EI sick benefits at our firm, so it is outside of our practice area to provide information. I recommend contacting EI directly for more information.
