Had severe panic attack at work went to hospital as I was experiencing heart attack symptoms ekg bloodwork and xray done at hospital Was told at hospital that I had a severe panic attack and that my body was in “crisis”mode Followed up with family doctor who said I was burnt out and needed time off Thought I was taking a “vacation payout” to avoid financial constraints Went to see psychiatrist who indicated that I have depression and anxiety Have a history of fibromyalgia 37 yrs - 3 different rheumatologist diagnosis Work at co for 20 years Collected EI for max time- 26 weeks Put in claim for LTD in May with BlueCross BlueCross has not approved or denied claim as according to BlueCross my company changed carriers to BlueCross in Jan 2026 and my medical onset was Nov 28 - suggesting it should be previous carrier BlueCross still conducting “functionality testing” My company has made it very difficult for me in providing me the paper work or any answers BlueCross is stating My company has been uncooperative and not being responsive to questions Co is saying they have provided answers to Blue Cross Answer: I'm sorry to hear what you're going through.
