Add Comment Question: I am 57 years old and live in Ontario and have been on disability for 4 years with no chance of returning to work (chronic medical conditions). I also collect CPP. I am thinking of moving to PEI but unsure whether Manulife would still provide my disability payments seeing I would be living in another province. Also, any idea whether I would continue receiving CPP? Thanks. Answer: Your LTD policy would list any restrictions for moving out of Province. Each policy is different, so we can't say for certain, but it is possible that the insurer would try to use that against your claim. You can inquire with your adjuster as to what would happen to your LTD benefits if you were to move to another province or you can look at your LTD insurance policy to see if there are provisions in there that deal with moving out of the province. In terms of CPP Disability, as long as you update the office with your location and new contact methods, it generally isn't an issue to move provinces Your Comment * Your Email * Your Name * Your City Note, your name, city and email is not displayed on the website.
