Add Comment Question: I've been off work for a number of months on LTD. I sent a doctor's note for return to work with accommodations with ten days notice that I was ready to return to work with accommodations. All communications were done through the insurance company, and return to work was constantly being deferred and my accommodation requests denied by the employer. I sent a note to HR asking for return to work within seven days a few days ago. They responded with a return to work date on Monday (with still the accommodation requests denied). Am I entitled to back pay to return date set by my doctor? I don't want to stir things up with my employer, but I'm out a lot of money when you subtract the insurance from my earnings. As for the accommodation requests, I feel like I'm being set up for failure. Answer: I'm going to email you about this directly.
