But in the meantime, my wife will not be receiving any payments for 6 months!!! Is she to just go without any money? Is there any program she can apply for in the meantime? The LTD insurance company has requested her to file for CPP disability which we are doing. Answer: Typically, LTD insurers make a decision within 1-8 weeks. 6 months is not common.
