Add Comment Question: Does desjardins have the right to lower my disability payments? Answer: Desjardins must pay you according to your LTD policy, so they should be following those "rules". Often, however, insurers are entitled to credit or offset other income that you're receiving while on LTD (like CPP Disability, or Workers Compensation benefits). This does mean that there are situations when Desjardins may be able to lower your benefits. There may be other situations when this could happened as well, but your insurer needs to follow what your policy says. If this doesn't sound like your situation at all, or you want to speak about this in more detail, I recommend that you contact our Disability Specialist, Rebecca, at 1-844-661-9065 x132 or rebecca.stap@stlawyers.ca and she can discuss this further with you (at no charge) Your Comment * Your Email * Your Name * Your City Note, your name, city and email is not displayed on the website.
