Add Comment Question: I am currently on stress leave at work but the insurance calls it short term disability, my appeal to extend my leave was denied even when the doctors provided all the information necessary. According to the insurer because I am enrolled in school "online" by the way I am not considered "disabled" and can return to my duties at work. I work as a bank teller and I have been going under a lot of stress and also have bad anxiety. There is no diagnostics or medical treatment for stress, my doctor provided pills for my sleeping deprive to help me sleep better but even then i haven't been sleeping well. The insurance won't pay and want me to go back, only paid me once I took the leave which was October 13 and after that they stopped paying me claiming I can return to work and it's not supportive. My question is what can be done because of it I am more stressed out and anxious? Answer: It sounds like your benefits have been denied, and therefore that you're ready to speak with an LTD lawyer about your options. So I'm going to email you directly about this.
