Add Comment Question: Hello. I’m 43 years old. I’ve been on LTD from my job, receiving benefits and 50% of my predisability pay since 2018. I also receive CPPD as of 2020. I will most likely be unable to work for the rest of my life. I bought a condo 8 years ago. I’m finding it difficult to pay my mortgage and bills on my disability income and I’m considering moving in with my parents and renting my condo out to help with the mortgage payments. I don’t want to lose my condo but I also can’t afford to pay for it much longer. Do you know if there are implications to my CPPD and/ or insurance company benefits/ payments if I rent my place out? Is that considered income if I’m doing it just to stay afloat? Thank you Answer: This depends on the wording in your LTD policy and how "income" is defined.
