Add Comment Question: My wife is 62 and has collected LTD for years, during which her income has remained static. She complies by completing yearly declaration forms requesting any change in address, medical condition and other income has not changed other than yearly increases from Canada/Quebec Pension Plan. I ( her spouse ) am a senior collecting my OAS Pension including the GIS Supplement. My income status now entitles my Wife to the OAS Allowance benefit. My question is, can the OAS be deducted from her LTD payments. Answer: You would need to review her LTD policy to determine what income the insurer is allowed to consider for LTD offsets. If you have a copy of your policy, our Disability Specialist, Rebecca, can help you review this if needed. You can reach her at rebecca.stap@stlawyers.ca. If you don't already have such, you can read about obtaining a copy of your policy here https://stlawyers.ca/disability-law/faq/obtaining-your-ltd-policy/ Your Comment * Your Email * Your Name * Your City Note, your name, city and email is not displayed on the website.
