Add Comment Question: I am currently on STD with Manulife and will be coming up to a year around mid June which would then put me on LTD. Manulife is pressuring me to start graduate return to work in a couple weeks when my doctor has said I will be off til July. Manulife seems to ignore my doctors letter. I’ve had a recent event that has caused a set back for me and I am working with my doctor and therapist to do a graduate return in July. And Manulife threatened me that If I don’t comply they will reach out to my employer and say I refused to comply. This has caused me so much stress and I’m not sure what to do. Can Manulife force me back to work and if I don’t comply can they cut me off as I need my income to pay bills. Please help Answer: I'm going to email you about this directly.
