My WSIAT tribunal claim was denied by a one panel chairperson and not the 3 person panel who was a 30 year appeal resolution officer at wsib, is that a conflict in interest as he denied the claim and had multiple errors of the facts, my representative has filed a reconsideration. The chairperson stated at the end of the tribunal teleconference “what are you going to do if I deny the claim”. So much for being unbiased or impartial. I am waiting a decision and next step is ombudsman my representative said. My question is a lawyer needed for that step?

Unfortunately, we don’t handle WSIB claims here. I suggest that you contact Paul Sacco, paralegal, at https://meducationservices.com/ or 416-292-6825. You can also contact the Law Society of Ontario's Referral Service (all of their information is online).

You can also read about certain other provincial and federal government assistance programs that may be available to you on our website, at: https://stlawyers.ca/disability-law/faq/government-income-support-programs/ (not an exhaustive list).

If you have a Long-Term Disability (LTD) or Personal Injury claim associated with your disability, please contact us again to set-up a free consultation.
