My wife was denied long term disability. She is currently appealing. Just want to know our options.

Your best option is to start a legal claim against the insurer. Unfortunately appeals rarely work in my experience because there is no pressure on the insurer to re-approve. A legal claim applies significant pressure on the insurer because they know that if they don't come to the table they'll find themselves before a judge. We do this every day across Ontario and BC. We get insurers to either reinstate benefits or settle the claim in its entirety within a relatively short period of time. Call or email me at my contact info below if you and your wife would like to discuss this option. Even if you want to let the appeal run its course it's worthwhile for you to speak with us so we can explain what you need to do if the appeal is denied. There's no charge for the consultation and it's generally done by phone.
