I am on LTD with Sun life through my employer ( School Board ) and was to start a work trial when we were advised closure of schools from COVID 19. With there being uncertainty if schools will return this year, my LTD two year time line ends May16th. What should I do if Sun Life does not extend my claim or cut me off when it is no fault of mine? Thanks Terry

If you are still disabled then you should continue to be on LTD. If the insurer refuses to keep you on LTD, let me know (my contact info is below) and we will help. If you are no longer disabled and can work, then you must contact your union for direction if you are unionized. If you are not unionized then you need to check with your employer, the School Board, regarding whether you are temporarily laid off or still employed with a salary.
