I just read in one of your answers here that Insurance companies can’t force you to apply for CPP Disability. Is that true? I just had the guy who was assigned to help me apply for CPP close my file due to me not getting the info requested to him in time, now I’m afraid my insurance company will use that to stop my benefits, even though I have reasons why I missed the deadline (part if which is ins company’s fault). Can they cut me off due to this? I got all my other comprehensive info that was asked of me to the ins company in a timely manner. Thank you

That’s correct. They can’t force you but they can cut you off or estimate your CPP Disability amount and reduce your benefits by that estimate. If they cut you off we can help.
