I have two questions. I was awarded BC Worksafe permanent partial disability while on long term disability. GWL deducts the amount of my Worksafe award from my monthly payment, is this allowed? Most LTD insurance policies allow the insurer to claim a credit for Workers’ Compensation benefits. Check your specific policy in this regards. In terms of health benefits, those are not generally covered by LTD policies. LTD policies are income replacement policies.
